Alex Remy

Biography

Alex Remy is a Public Policy Advisor at Blank Rome, where he brings nearly a decade of experience in legislative analysis, government relations, and policy advocacy. His work spans the environmental, financial, aerospace, and transportation sectors, with a track record of advancing clients’ legislative and regulatory priorities.

Alex previously served as a Legislative Analyst at Blank Rome, where he tracked legislation, reported on hearings and markups, and conducted in-depth policy research.

He began his career as a Public Policy Fellow for CRD Associates in Washington, D.C., gaining hands-on experience in the government relations industry. Alex also served as an intern on two successful congressional campaigns and on Capitol Hill for the U.S. Senate. Upon departing CRD Associates, Alex served as a departmental assistant at the International Monetary Fund, followed by becoming a Cryptocurrency Policy Specialist at Robinhood Financial, helping spearhead the rollout of Robinhood Crypto to nearly all 50 states.

More recently, Alex has increased his focus within the aerospace sector. He served as the Manager of Federal Affairs for the American Association of Airport Executives (“AAAE”), acting as a critical liaison between nationwide airport leadership personnel and the federal government. Additionally, Alex worked as a First Officer on the PC-12 at Tradewind Aviation, while also representing the company at industry-wide aviation policy advocacy events. Currently, he serves as a board member, Chief Pilot, and Director of Marketing and Media at Columbia Training Centers in Washington, D.C., where he is passionate about mentoring the next generation of pilots.

Alex holds B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida and a Masters in Business Administration from American University.

Outside the Firm

Outside of work, Alex enjoys giving back to his community. He volunteers as a youth basketball coach for AAU programs and actively teaches young aviators through camps and individual sessions at Columbia Training Centers. He is also an active member of the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, the National Business Aviation Association, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

An avid sports fan, Alex supports the Washington Wizards and his alma mater, the UCF Knights. He also enjoys spending time with his cat, Bron, who is a beloved part of his family.
