Geraldine Ferraro, government relations principal at Blank Rome, is the keynote speaker at the Nevada Women’s Fund 2008 Salute to Women of Achievement event on June 10, 2008.

Ms. Ferraro served three terms in the House of Representatives and was the first female vice-presidential candidate in 1984. She serves as a board member of the national Democratic Institute of International Affairs and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also a political analyst for Fox News and a columnist for The New York Times Syndicate.

Established in 1991, the Salute to Women of Achievement event recognizes the many contributions of Nevada’s women, in the workplace, home, and community. Past featured speakers include U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, astronaut Sally Ride, and entrepreneur Debbi Fields.

For more than 25 years the Nevada Women's Fund has championed the needs of women and children, helping them to reach their full potential. They bring together the community's intellectual, emotional, and financial resources to empower women for today and tomorrow.
