This seminar will show attendees how to protect their organizations before, during and after a catastrophe. Although many have already taken some measures to develop a plan, this seminar will help assess whether the plans are of sufficient detail and scope to address the current known vulnerabilities and hidden legal liabilities. The panel will discuss vulnerability analysis, exposure mitigation, the phenomenon of ‘disaster denial,’ disaster recovery and consequence management.

Our co-host for this event is Firestorm Solutions LLC, a leading advisor in disaster preparedness, business continuity planning, and corporate security. Firestorm Solutions was created in the aftermath of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina to provide business-critical decisions, vulnerability analysis, disaster planning and solutions. Firestorm works with organizations of all sizes, public and private, in industries that include retail, financial services, energy, engineering, and education. Many lessons have been learned from these engagements. Most recently, Firestorm provided assistance and advice in the initial phase of recovery to Virginia Tech and will share some of the lessons learned from that experience.
